\n\tDancers are taking over Culver City’s Baldwin Hills this Saturday. The scenic overlook is playing host to a day’s worth of site-specific performances, free dance workshops and other events, all curated by Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre<\/a> for a festival called Ebb & Flow: Culver City<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe purpose? To use dance to highlight society’s impact on the environment.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tConsidering that Culver City is located right in Los Angeles County, it’s no surprise that the festival boasts some A-list dance talent. Highlights include choreography by Comfort Fedoke of “So You Think You Can Dance” and two workshops for professional dancers <\/strong>taught by La La Land<\/em> assistant choreographer Jillian Meyers.\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tThe headlining event is a live performance by LA’s site-specific masterminds, Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre. Called FishEyes<\/em>, the piece features dancers performing inside, on top of, around and through a 15-foot steel fish sculpture designed by architect Alex Ward, as a way to explore issues of drought and water conservation.\n\t<\/p>\n
